Entering into the Radio 1 Live Lounge, English rock band Fightstar decided to do a cover of the Jordin Sparks track ‘Battlefield’, as well as a live rendition of the band’s very own ‘Never Change’ single. It’s the ‘Battlefield’ cover that has particularly impressed me, and it must be said that it really is an excellent cover track; arguably better than the Jordin Sparks original in fact.
An incredible acoustic track, Charlie Simpson’s vocals really are excellent here, and as the track progresses his vocals always have a lot to offer. The music has been really very well presented here, and although I’m not usually a fan of cover tracks; I certainly like Fightstar’s version of ‘Battlefield’.
There’s something incredibly relaxing about this cover track, and it’s very easy just to sit back and let all your worries leave you as you listen. Fightstar’s ‘Battlefield’ cover is most definitely a track that I’d recommend all to listen to, and if you do decide to give the track a listen then hopefully you’ll enjoy it just as much as I do.
