Having originally been set to tour the UK and Ireland this coming June, My Chemical Romance have officially now confirmed that the shows have been postponed until 2021 due to ongoing concerns around the current coronavirus pandemic.
Taking to Facebook to confirm the news, the band had the following to say regarding the decision:
Due to the current Covid 19 Coronavirus Pandemic, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone our UK and Ireland dates until 2021. We must put the health of our fans and families first. We believe you understand this decision, which we laboured over. We intend to come back and play – in fact, we can’t wait to play – and hope you will be there with us, hope there is much to celebrate… Thanks for your support and understanding.
All five shows have now been rescheduled, with the band set to start out at the Eden Project in Cornwall on June 15th and finish up in Dublin on June 22nd.
