After introducing The W as a brand new game mode in NBA 2K21, 2K Sports has continued to keep pushing women’s sport forward, unveiling Candace Parker as their first ever female cover star, and now coming back even bigger and better for NBA 2K22, with an all-new badge progression experience as well as introducing three new playable off-day experiences (scrimmages, team practices, and contact workouts).
The W Online returns to NBA 2K22 for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, with the WNBA mode featuring more ways to experience the league both on and off the court.
Felicia Steenhouse, Senior Producer at Visual Concepts, had the following to say about The W:
“Since introducing The W to NBA 2K, we’ve set out to develop one of the most comprehensive sets of game modes and features focused on a women’s professional league. It’s grounded in authenticity and delivers an experience that honours and elevates some of the best ballers in the world: the women of the WNBA.”
NBA 2K22 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles will be released on September 10th.
