Having been available on PC for a few years now; the deep-simulation American Football game Legend Bowl is officially also coming to console this summer, touching down on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and One, and Nintendo Switch on August 9th.
Seen as somewhat of a spiritual successor to Tecmo Bowl (which originally released on the Nintendo Entertainment System over 30 years ago now), Legend Bowl allows you to create your own coach and take charge of one of 32 unique teams in a quest to take them to glory. You can manage your own stadium facilities, team rosters and player’s needs, and throughout the off season you’ll get to attend to matters such as retirements, free agency, player progression, and even a full 7 round draft.
Franchise mode is clearly an extremely deep and integral part of Legend Bowl, enabling the complete customisation of players, coaches, and teams to create your very own dream league.
If the extreme depth of franchise mode isn’t really your thing though then you can also dip your toes into Legend Bowl’s exhibition mode for singular matches against a friend or the CPU, or have some quick fun with 16 team bracket style tournaments.
If you’re tired of the modern Madden games (or a Nintendo Switch user where Madden isn’t even an option) then Legend Bowl is definitely a game to strongly consider, and at the very least I highly recommend checking out the announcement trailer below:
